Account deletion

Delete your Docly account

You can permanently delete your Docly account at any time. Deletion removes your profile, every document you’ve uploaded, every analysis Docly generated for you, and your full chat history with the assistant. This action cannot be undone.

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app

This is the fastest way. If you can still sign in to Docly, you can delete your account yourself in a few seconds.

  1. 1. Open Docly on the web at www.askdocly.com, on iOS, or on Android, and sign in.
  2. 2. Go to Settings Delete account.
  3. 3. Type delete my account to confirm and tap Delete account.

Option 2 — Request deletion by email

Can’t sign in, or no longer have access to the app? Email our support team from the address on your Docly account and we will verify your identity and delete the account for you.

Email support@signalandcostudios.com

So we can verify you, please send the request from the email address linked to your Docly account. We will confirm receipt and complete the deletion within 30 days, typically much sooner.

What gets deleted

  • • Your account profile (email, display name, photo) and Firebase Authentication record.
  • • Every document you uploaded, including the original file and any extracted text.
  • • Every Docly analysis generated from your documents (red flags, clauses, summaries).
  • • Your full chat history with the Docly assistant.
  • • Any settings or preferences tied to your account.

What may be retained, and for how long

We may keep a limited amount of information after deletion when we are required to or have a clear, legitimate reason. Specifically:

  • Billing and tax records for any paid purchases, kept for as long as applicable tax and financial regulations require (typically up to 7 years).
  • Security and abuse-prevention logs (such as IP addresses tied to sign-in attempts) for up to 90 days, in a form not tied to your deleted profile.
  • Aggregated, de-identified usage data that cannot be linked back to you or your documents.

See our Privacy Policy for the full description of retention practices and your rights under U.S. state privacy laws, the GDPR, and the UK GDPR.
